JOIN TEAM SYNCHRONY

Processes and ensures the accuracy and timely issuance of invoices to customers. Provides health care professionals with assistance with Medicare, Medicaid, Prescription Drug Plans (PDP’s) and Third-Party Insurances. Provides assistance with measuring, mixing, counting out, labeling and recording amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders under the direction of a Pharmacist. Enters incoming orders for pharmacy services. Informs customers of the receipt, pricing, shipping dates and delays of orders. Answers and responds to customer inquiries.

 

Hours - Monday-Friday hours between 8:00am-6:00pm


Duties


1. Enters customers' names, addresses, and billing information, product numbers, and specifications of items to be purchased into the order entry system.
2. Verifies and enters physician information into the system.
3. Enters new medication orders and enters refills.
4. Sorts, correlates and distributes copies obtained from fax machines.
5. Reviews and verifies customer and order information for correctness, checking it against previously obtained information, as necessary.
6. Assists specified departments in the preparation and shipment of orders to designated locations.
7. Checks inventory records to determine availability of requested merchandise.
8. Reviews orders for completeness according to reporting procedures and forwards incomplete orders for further processing.
9. Requests prior authorization on drugs that are denied for prior authorization.
10. Obtains third-party insurance information on all necessary orders.
11. Bills any non-covered drugs to the appropriate party.
12. Ensures patient profiles are updated with payor changes and exceptions.
13. Prescription preparation.
14. Responds to questions or requests. Directs inquires as needed to various departments.
15. Maintains proper storage and security conditions for drugs.
16. Orders, labels, and counts stock of medications, chemicals, orsupplies.
17. Receives and stores incoming supplies, verifies quantities against invoices, checks for outdated medications in current inventory and informs supervisor of stock needs and shortages.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Associates degree is preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Pharmacy Technician as required by State regulatory requirements.

Experience

  • One (1) to three (3) year’s Retail or Mail Order Pharmacy, Healthcare, or Customer Service preferred.
  • One (1) to three (3) year’s Medicare Part D and Commercial insurance preferred.
  • Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
